Southend SCITT Information Evening Tuesday 24 September

Are you interested in training to become a secondary school teacher?

Our school is part of a growing number of schools leading the way for more school-led teacher training. This is extremely important to us because it means we can choose the very best talent and develop them into becoming outstanding teachers. Being able to choose who we train as teachers helps us in delivering the best outcomes for students within the Southend Borough.

Working in partnership with Southend SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) allows us to customise the training to meet the needs of both the school, and the trainees who gain practical experience from day one. It is a great way to learn and qualify to become a teacher and many successful candidates quickly progress into leadership positions.

The Southend SCITT has vacancies now to start training from September 2020. We are looking for people who have (or will have) a degree, a passion for teaching and want to inspire young people in the local area to fulfil their potential. By offering bursaries in priority subjects, or a salary, together with outstanding training and development, schools are attracting the very best new teachers.

We are hosting an information evening on Tuesday 24 September, 5.30pm at Southend High School for Girls and would love you to meet you, please contact our recruiter Karon Edney kedney@shsg.org at Southend SCITT if you would like to pre-register for this event.
